1. Car Rental Services
1.1 Eligibility & Driver Requirements
To rent and operate a vehicle from Lyna Car Rental, the primary renter and any designated additional drivers must meet the following criteria:
Age Limit
Drivers must be at least 18 years of age (or 21 years of age for specific luxury or heavy-duty vehicle classes) with a valid government-issued photo ID or passport.
Driver’s License
Drivers must possess a valid Cambodian Driver’s License or a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside their national driver’s license. If required, Lyna Car Rental can assist in obtaining or renewing a official Cambodian driver’s license through our administrative services.
1.2 Vehicle Use & Restrictions
All rental vehicles must be operated strictly in accordance with local Cambodian traffic laws and regulations.
Permitted Territory
Vehicles are permitted for use within the geographic borders of Cambodia only. Crossing international borders is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from Lyna Car Rental.
Prohibited Uses
Vehicles must not be used for illegal activities, subleasing, racing, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, carrying hazardous materials, or carrying passengers/cargo beyond the vehicle’s seating or weight capacity.
2. Payments, Deposits, & Cancellations
2.1 Rates & Payment Terms
Rental fees are calculated on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as specified at the time of booking. All rates are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless explicitly stated otherwise.
2.2 Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit is required upon pickup or confirmation of the rental. The deposit amount varies depending on the vehicle category and rental duration, and will be refunded upon the safe return of the vehicle, pending inspection for damages, traffic fines, or unpaid fees.
2.3 Fuel Policy
Vehicles are provided with a specific fuel level (typically full) and must be returned with the same fuel level. If returned with less fuel, refuel charges and service fees will apply.
3. Insurance, Maintenance, & Emergency Services
3.1 Comprehensive Insurance
All rented vehicles include comprehensive insurance coverage. However, insurance coverage may be rendered void if damage results from gross negligence, unauthorized drivers, or violation of these Terms and Conditions.
3.2 Regular Vehicle Maintenance
Lyna Car Rental ensures that all fleet vehicles undergo routine servicing and mechanical safety checks. Renters are expected to report any warning lights, unusual mechanical noises, or fluid leaks immediately.
3.3 Emergency & Rescue Service
Complimentary roadside assistance and emergency rescue services within Cambodia are included with your rental fee in the event of a mechanical failure or breakdown.
4. Additional Administrative & Concierge Services
4.1 Scope of Additional Services
In addition to vehicle rentals, Lyna Car Rental offers various vehicle and administrative assistance services, including:
Vehicle Documentation & Transfers
Assistance with New Vehicle Registration, Car Ownership Transfer, and Bi-Yearly Technical Inspections (MOT).
Taxation & Licensing
Facilitation of Annual Road Tax purchases and Cambodian Driver’s License creation or renewal.
Travel & Visa Assistance
Visa Extension assistance and vehicle buying/selling consultations.
4.2 Service Guarantees & Processing Times
While we handle administrative applications with relevant Cambodian government agencies promptly, processing timelines for licenses, tax stickers, and visa extensions are subject to government authorities and third-party processing schedules.
5. Damage, Loss, & Liability
The renter assumes full financial responsibility for any loss, damage, theft, or traffic violations incurred during the rental period that are not covered by insurance, or resulting from improper or unauthorized use of the vehicle.
6. Privacy Policy & Data Usage
Your personal information, passport details, and contact information collected during reservation and service requests will be held securely and used solely for identity verification, booking processing, and compliance with local legal obligations.
7. Modifications to Terms
Lyna Car Rental reserves the right to amend, update, or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon being posted on this website.
